Float Trips

Floats are an exciting way to spend the day fishing. We can cover the fast “white water” stretch on the upper Roaring Fork River, a truly unforgettable float trip suitable for the accomplished angler. Alternatively, we can take a more leisurely float on a lower stretch of the Roaring Fork or Colorado River, a float that works great for just about everyone.  Whether you're a “gun” or a “never ever,” at the end of the day you can expect to have learned a lot about reading the water, making good casts, and getting good drifts. This all leads to catching more fish.

Wade Trips

Wade fishing is a great way to get started as a fly fisherman or woman. We cover all the basics: like what bugs the fish are eating, where they are feeding, how to cast, how to present your fly naturally, how to set the hook and then land the big ones. Wade trips fit easily into a day of recreation. After I pick you up, we can be on the beautiful Roaring Fork River in less than 10 minutes. We can hike down a canyon and fish the most scenic stretch of water in the valley.  Or we can drive from spot to spot, catching fish as we go.
